Today the boy turned 8. For breakfast he had two donuts (in the shape of an 8) and milk. With a candle. I gave him his new football and Mt. Dew six pack (the kid has been OBSESSED with tasting Mt. Dew.
I took him McDonalds for lunch and then spent the rest of the afternoon in the ICU waiting room of St. Josephs where my Aunt Kay was admitted. She hasn't been able to swallow and has been aspirating her food. She has pneumonia. Now she has a feeding tube. It isn't looking good and there is a lot of arguing going on in her family. It is sad. Very sad.
He stayed at the Whettens and Lou stayed with the Layton's while I was driving home.
Then after school he got his kick ball and baseballs and pitching net and $20. His grandma Xan brought him his Scout shirt that he will need tomorrow. He is SO excited about Cub Scouts.
And then we went to Joes for dinner. His choice.
